Oscar is a 12 month old sable, short coat German Shepherd male dog. He has come in to the rescue from a home where he was teased by children. Oscar needs an experienced home with no children. We would re-home him with an existing bitch pending successful introductions. He has experience of living with a cat. He will only be homed to an experienced owner/s with no children.
Oscar arrived in our care quite traumatized but we have been working with him and he is now beginning to trust humans again. This is a slow process and any potential new owner must approach his adoption and first few weeks at home in the same manner, with patience, love and understanding.
Oscar is housetrained and well trained and knows many of his commands such as sit, stay, come, down, leave and he also gives his paw. He loves to go for walks and walks really well on lead. He likes to be occupied so a home where eventually he could do obedience, agility or other work would be great for him. (He would not be ready for any of this yet but in time once he feels settled and secure, he may like to try it.)
