Saxon is an approximately 8 year old Akita who recently came to us after being found as a stray in very poor condition. This gentle giant is our resident teddy bear and is a true older gentleman with perfect manners. With a bit of love and TLC this gorgeous lad is now looking much better, with a glossy coat to be proud of.
Saxon is a friend to all, mixing well with all our dogs without exception. He could also live with cats and has been nothing but perfect with our chickens and geese here.
Saxon is a slower gentleman and isn’t interested in running around like some of our younger residents, he is quite happy to have a fuss and a gentle walk and walks perfectly on the lead. For this reason, Saxon could either be homed as an only dog or with a calmer dog for company who wouldn’t expect Saxon to play all day. Because of his gentle nature Saxon could also be rehomed with children.
Saxon has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated and will be fleaed and wormed again before leaving his his own family. We really hope this gentle lad can enjoy some much needed spoiling in his older years.
