Sonny is a handsome male German Shepherd Cross Labrador aged approximately 4 years old. Okay with other dogs and cat tested okay. We would be happy to re-home him with children aged 10 years plus. He came in as a stray so we know little about his background.
Sonny was very frightened and bewildered when he first came into rescue but slowly we have won his trust and although still a little timid at times his confidence is growing every day. It is lovely to see him wag his tail again and enjoy walks, affection, strokes and treats.
Sonny is very good on lead and walks to heel; he also enjoys his walks with other dogs. He does a nice sit and stay and accepts treats very gently. He travels well. He is probably housetrained as he is mostly clean in his kennel. He is a nice, kind and calm dog who needs someone who will give him some love in his life as he looks as though he’s had a tough time of it so far. Unfortunately, he has the scars to prove it. He will need patience and understanding in all new situations but if you take things slowly he is okay.
